Yes. Scheduled work runs Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but emergency calls are answered at any hour, including overnight and on Sundays.

The Santa Clarita Valley only — Newhall, Saugus, Canyon Country, Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Castaic and Agua Dulce. Staying inside one valley is what makes an emergency call answerable quickly rather than eventually. If you are just outside it, call anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

For the diagnosis, yes — someone needs to let us in, show us the problem and approve the price before work starts. After that it depends on the job, and we will tell you when we quote.

Please do. There is a photo field on the service request form, and a picture of the leak is worth more than three paragraphs of description — it often saves an entire diagnostic visit because we arrive with the right part already on the van.

In most Santa Clarita Valley homes it is one of two places: outside near the front hose bib where the supply enters the house, or in a covered box at the kerb by the water meter. The kerb box usually needs a meter key or a wrench. Find it and try it before you ever need it — a valve nobody has turned in fifteen years is often seized, and discovering that during a burst pipe costs you the ceiling.

Shut the water off at the main if water is running and you cannot stop it at the fixture. If it is near anything electrical, switch that circuit off at the breaker. Move what you can out of the way and put towels down. Then leave it alone — taking a fitting apart to look usually turns a small repair into a bigger one.

Age decides it more than the fault does. A tank heater under about eight years old with a failed thermostat or element is usually worth repairing. Past ten or twelve, a repair often buys a few months before something else goes, and a tank that is leaking from the body rather than a fitting cannot be repaired at all. We will tell you which one you have before you spend anything.

Because clearing a blockage and fixing its cause are different jobs. A drain that backs up every few months usually has something structural behind it — grease built up along the pipe wall, tree roots through a joint, a section that has sagged or cracked. A camera down the line shows which, and that is the difference between clearing it again next quarter and fixing it.

Turn every tap off, make sure nothing is running, and look at the water meter. If the dial is still moving, water is going somewhere. The common hidden ones are a toilet flapper leaking silently into the bowl, an irrigation line, and a slab leak under the floor. A warm patch on a tile floor or the sound of running water with everything off both point at the last one.

Santa Clarita water is hard. Dissolved calcium and magnesium come out of solution on anything warm, which is why kettles fur up, shower heads block and water heaters lose efficiency and wear out early. Softening treats the cause; a filter improves what you drink but does not stop the scale.

You can, and most of the water damage we get called out to started with one that was. The usual failure is a connection made without a proper shut-off valve, or a compression fitting over-tightened onto a plastic line. Both hold fine for a year or two and then let go while nobody is home.

It watches the flow into your house and closes the main by itself when the pattern looks like a leak rather than like someone taking a shower. The value is entirely in what it prevents: a supply line that lets go at 3am becomes a notification instead of a claim. It matters most in a house that is empty for stretches at a time.
